its an art event... for those of u who actually can see the world... depression is an issue that many people dont talk abt... by the way this a conference/gig. so its for a good cause.

yeah im actually pissed with some morons who put up "for emo people" the bands playin are punk/diy/hardcore bands. yes punks are not all chaotic people. punks do think about issues. probably even more than "normal" people.

prohibited project is from the diy circle and have been around for a long time.

my 2 cents:

I think there might not be many people there. Depressed people aren't really that open with talking about depression. They probabbly don't want people to know.

TO THOSE WHO thinks tats emo people running this event,

I think you are bullshit same goes to all those who jzu wanna stuck in their small box, get a life be open minded... these gigs are not jzu yr typical weekend metalcore/hardcore gigs..... if you think you can do better than wad shai do, go ahead and do ..no action yet wanna complain...dey, xxxx you! if you are in hardcore type of music lover, hardcore is not jzu abt music......kaoz! too mUCH MTV FOR YOU ALREADY........

its a gig for people who appreciate it. people to enjoy the music played. people who want to noe more about the issue. not for dumbf*cks. the gig does not care about profits or anything. its about having fun and talking about issues. even zai kuning, rahmat haron and mindfckingboy is not exactly "punk" music.

tieren maybe u could either do a background check or at least think before sayin your 2cents.

i think everyone needs to grow a sense of humor.

people who don't take it seriously because it deals with issues of depression clearly don't realize how many people suffer from chronic depression and how damaging it can be to their families and friends, and how deeply it can affect the lives of the people around them.

on the other hand, people who take offense at the idea that it's for "emo kids" need to lighten the hell up. i mean, c'mon. it's poetry reading and improvized skits about feeling sad? that's as arty farty as it gets. you need to realize that this event is so stereotypically emo in style and ideology (think group therapy sessions) that if someone calls it an event for emo kids, it's actually pretty funny. if you wear a dress and you're a guy, you shouldn't be surprised if people call you a cross dresser. if you throw an event that's all about emotions and the arts, you shouldn't be surprised that people joke about it being for emo kids. there's nothing wrong with it being an emo kid event anyway so stop being so defensive.

unless you're getting emo about it, in which case i suppose you can't really help yourself. no worries, you're forgiven. :)

neh but the jokes are all moronic

emo? emotional yes, emo fashion no

anyway if ur not interested den dont come... no "superstars" are playin in the gig anyway

i can just sense the growing animosity here. for a group that's pushing the envelope about being open minded and looking in a new perspective, it's rather quick in telling people to "don't like, don't come lah".

and of course, the "rest of us" tend to jump the gun and stereotype the "emo folk" who do all the "emo things" whether they be genuine or just jumping on the bandwagon.

I like how this flame suddenly sparks off over an emo comment.

Hello.

Take a deep breath.

Then exhale.

Relax.

FFS.

Don't take it too personally. It's just a comment. If you don't like the comment, don't read it. It seems that you guys are licking the flames rather than try to promote your event.

and too much absinthe for you gayson. -_-;

haha, "don't like don't read" makes no sense when you have to read first to know whether you like it or not. seriously no seriously.

*take a deep breathe and exhale

ok now im gonna start flaming it up again

"dont like dont come" YES its true... like i said before come only if ur interested.

people comment on the topic like they are some bigshot and they even comment like they are even going or when to this type of show before...

easy just shut up and look at the flyer. interested den go. not interested den go back to where u came from.
