Hey guys, just dug this old book out of my personal library and had a good read through it for the past hour or so, and I'm wondering if anyone has read this book before?
Re-reading the book, I'm just amazed at how inspiring this book has been to me, how some opinions, ideas and concepts have shaped the way I am as a person, as a quasi-muso, and as someone who is somehow involved in making music in Singapore. How 10 years since the publication of this book, some concerns and gripes still remain relevant and fresh, and how some other issues and concerns have disappeared or been transformed. How some names mentioned in the book as local legends have completely faded away into obscurity, and how some musos have moved on to better, greater things.
Anyone else out there read the book and wants to offer their own little retrospective?
And more importantly... where are the publishers of the book now??? Tried google already... *heh*.
