Hi guys, does anyone know where to get nitro-based paint or paint concentrates that can be mixed in with nitro lacquer?
anyway just a tip for diy-ers. I've tried the nitro lacquer from Brightex.. not a problem if you want to clear-coat necks but not for guitar bodies, not recommended for relicing because:
1. The nitro lacquer has a lot of plasticizers. It dries fast but if you try to strip it, there will be some plastic goop left that is very hard to sand off. This is what i experienced
2. The lacquer is tinted, again, good for necks but not for clear-coating.
Hence my qns... i need a nitro-lacquer for clear-coating and painting if possible. Anyone used or knows alternatives??
