hello, im new here.
im learning electric guitar with a few of my frens at the end of the year.
nid some help at what guitars you people would recommand for a beginner, and the guitar can be played till a pro level and not feel tt it sucks at the end of the day.

im more into a fender strat... but im not sure if its good for a beginnner though. so i nid a lil recommandation here =D

and have anyone bought any fenders strat from ebay? cuz i saw a few which r real cheap, but i don't know if the're real cuz they come from china. anyway to identify a real fender from a fake?
cuz i noticed tt many fenders look different(as in the stamps on the headstocks), some of them just have a fender stamp there tt looks kinda fake. so i nid some ways to identify a real 1. and those tt are made in u.s.a sold in china, im kinda suspicious if they're real or fake. =/

thanks for any help!

something ibanez?

maybe you shouldn't get a fender first. if u dent it or something, the heartache that entails is excruciating. and learn how to properly keep/clean ur guitar too. i made the mistake of cleaning my body and neck with WD-40!!!

:?

and denting an Ibanez won't cause any heartaches? what kinda songs you wanna play? might get an axe tat suits it.

shattered: if u r still in the learning stage, u might wanna try something around Ibanez. they have a wide range of guitars for u to choose. bang for bucks i wld say.

u can get the starter kit (everything included) or u can go for the Gio series..

if still not satisfied, go for the SA, SZ, RG series etc.

so much for u to choose that u become spoilt for choice.

It also depends on your budget. I agree with the choice of Ibanez. If you can afford it, get those that are made in korea...the quality is better. I have 2 Ibanez guitars (a 7 string and a bass) and they're both really good and really love them. Price range probably from 500 onwards so work out your budget first.

i wanna play something more of light rock, a lil heavy ones and maybe just some acoustics.
i actually wanted to get a fender cuz i don't wanna change a guitar after tt, cuz im not very rich =/
but i'll consider an ibanez too though. if possible of cuz a fender haha but i know its not tt gd for starters... headache!! oh ya and i wanna learn bass with tt guitar too.. so hopefully it can play bass, electric and acoustic

my budget is about 550 at most.. cuz i still nid to get an amplifier and other stuff.. total budget for all is about 700-800. broke! :?

uhh why is it not suitable for a beginner? the only guitar i deem unsuitable for a beginner is one with a floating bridge, even tat, with practice, you'll get used to it very fast.

light rock, heavy rock, and some acoustics. a fender strat could handle that, as well as mahogany bodied RG. any particular bands?

bands... mostly jap styled ones,
from anime ill jus quote the name of the song and u can go listen to it..
nana - a little pain
suzumiya haruhi - god knows
nana - rose

im an anime watcher so i listen to their songs haha

Fender is good for everybody

But maybe u won't be too fanscinated when u try distortion on the Strat. might not be thick enuff for u . . .

ok ive put in a poll ,
just vvote for the one you think is more suitable! thanks alot!
and for an ibanez wad models d you guys recommand..? cuz there are too many of them.
i like this model GRG270DX GRG Series for ibanez.. but i dont know if its good. but it looks nice totally

i wouldnt go for a fender at such an early stage. i rather a cheaper range for guitars to start out wif... and as you get better u can go for a fender and ibanez:D
craftsman(city music) would be a good starter pack

ok im considering an ibanez.. but is there any shops tt sells em? the sucky thing bout sg is tt there are too lil guitar shops, and the variety is always limited.. the models tt u guys recommanded.. cant find them in sweelee the guitar shop..
i still like the design of GRG270DX GRG Series though haha
