Nickelback represents many of the things that are wrong with commercial pop music today.
Their awful songs are a kind of mindless pseudo-rock that can best be described as donkey turd.
To make matter worse, they employ a formulaic system of songwriting (or more accurately, rehashing), to cash in on the poor pockets of naive listeners.
However, if you are a discerning listener who thinks that all Nickelback songs sound the same, then congratulations. Because you are not very far off.
The following is a link to a Nickelback Vs Nickelback 'mash-up' of sorts, created by a fellow named Mikey Smith to show his girlfriend that all of Nickelback songs sound just about the same. Many of you might have already heard it since it has been floating around the internet for over a year. The songs used to demonstrate the point are 2 of the group's biggest hits, “How You Remind Me” and “Someday”, and have not been tampered in anyway.

Uncanny, you say? More like unsavoury, since listening to this mash-up leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.
So look, why continue supporting acts like this that treat their listeners with such contempt? Have a little more respect for yourself and find music that is truly deserving of your time and attention.
