Newb To Doing Covers and Stuff

Hiya peeps, name's Tommie and i am kinda new to this forums itself.

Was looking @ all the posts here, and kinda wanna try out and do a demo for myself and maybe to post it up and wait for constructive critism.

Anyone has any softwares, programs to like mute off the singers from the original music and stuff like that, dun need those with major editing just a simple program to do just that.

And lastly, anyone can enlighten me on brands of mic to purchase?

I just need the web site, and i could get it started. Thanks heaps peeps.
