Good day to all!

Hope all's doing fantastic on your end! I have good news and that is we are going to hold our next SG Musician Meetup session again in early August.

In this session, I will like to make it more interesting for you. I am looking forward to invite the following people to our gathering (*they shall confirm their availability with me this week):

During this meetup, we will be networking with fellow musicians and music industry contacts. Make music friends here! You will be given the opportunity to share your music with everyone too (^but pls bring your own music instruments like guitar and keyboard).

In addition, I have a fellow friend from Musical Theatre Limited (MTL - http://www.musicaltheatrelimited.org/about.html) whom is scouting for a music arranger who can do midi arrangements. He also needs a rehearsal pianist for 8 weeks before his musical at the Arts House in mid October 2011. Let me know if you fit the bill or like to give a shot to widen your music CV, my friend from MTL is footing the remunerations from his personal pocket. I can connect you with him, just drop me an email. He may drop by during our meetup session too.

Hello to all!

Thanks for your support and it was lovely for many of you who turn up for the recent 3rd Aug SG Musician Meetup. Yes yes...I truly hear you and will organise this more often with Hackerspace (our kind venue host!).

As promised, I have compiled the night's event on Youtube for sharing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfS37QhYsXc. Fantastic enthusiasm and music sharing on Wednesday night...certainly look forward to more of such fun again. I will organise the next one when I am back from Thailand 2 weeks later...probably fix it early September.

Hello all!

Yes yes, I am back in Singapore after the recent Thailand trip (for those who came to our previous meetup would know). As promised, I will also very much like to organise the next SG Musician Meetup soon. We will definitely be back to Hackerspace SG again, probably in October or November.

This is because we will be holding the next one on 23rd September. I was thinking of organising it in my office area, it is actually located inside Singapore Polytechnic (Dover MRT). Can I have a simple survey if I were to organise it at Singapore Polytechnic (very nice ambience), will you come? If no, let me know too ok? I hope to gauge your response to travel down to SP. Look forward to some replies yea!

SP will be having an event that day too, so yes there will be free finger food & drinks! Furthermore, I can invite the music club from SP to join us.



Oh yes, one more thing - there's a new music project here: http://www.expressinmusic.com/projects/browse_contest.aspx?cid=51 . It is for a simple event organised by internal staffs in which they hope to hype the spirits up by having a song about their Service Creed. The remuneration for this song is $492. Just to let you know that this is not paid by the organisation, it is fully paid by an individual staff (the team's manager) out of his own pocket. He believes in music and is a music lover himself. Feel free to submit the songs in yea!

Hello all!

Yes, we will be holding the next SG Musician Meetup in Singapore Polytechnic (Innovillage). As some of you may have already known, SP Innovillage is where our office is. It is a pretty cool hangout place and I believe this is gonna be an ideal venue to play your music!

This Meetup on Friday (30th Sept) is held in conjunction with an internal event by SP. It means one thing...there's freeeee food and drinks! Oh yes, if you are a regular for our SG Musician Meetup, you will know this is the first time.

Thanks for all who replied my previous msg asking if you guys will come all the way to Singapore Poly for the meetup, it was very encouraging and so we shall have it here =) SP Guitarist club will be joining us this time round.

Rough agenda for that day:

1.) Networking with fellow musicians (make new friends and jamming mates!)

2.) Share your music (bring your own instruments like guitar, ukele, portable drums, etc)

3.) Get to know some music industry insights (oh yes, i will be presenting some interesting data in the audio and sound aspects)

4.) Eat



Once again, for newcomers, there are 2 queries that often pop up:

- Yes it is free...this is an informal gathering, the food & drinks are sponsored by Singapore Polytechnic for this upcoming meetup. RSVP is limited, so please get your places quick.

- First come first serve for the sharing of music if you wish to sing and perform, come early. Friday's (30th Sept) session will start at 6.30pm and end at 9pm (depends*).

Hello all!

As majority are coming in for the first time to Singapore Polytechnic's Innovillage, I like to point out to you where exactly we will be holding the meetup.

If you find yourself climbing a long flight of steps or up the steep slope, yes you are right on track. SP Innovillage is located at one of the highest natural ground in Singapore Polytechnic.

Hello everyone!

I bet you are all missing the SG Musician Meetup Group!

Before anything else, I would like to intro myself a bit, my name is Beverly, Singer-Songwriter, and will be assisting Jerry. Sincere apologies on Jerry's side as he had grown a little busy and had been out of Singapore often as he expands ExpressInMusic in the region. I shall be taking over as the co-organizer as of now.

I’ll be glad to assist in making our Meetup Group happen every month as we continue to create a fun-filled and fulfilling music gathering. So embrace yourself with fun and sharing of creative activities as we musicians showcase our musical abilities and original compositions. At the same time this is a great way to meet more friends by engaging with different varieties of musicians in Singapore.

We will be holding the next SG Musician Meetup at Actor’s Jam Bar. It is a pretty cool hangout place and I believe this is gonna be an ideal venue to play your music! A complete drumset, a keyboard, an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar and 2 microphones will be available but you can also bring your own instrument if you like.
