Hmm i've done recording there before, the owners are nice people. If i'm not wrong , the Singapore Symphony or Chinese Orchestra or something in that vein records there too.

Top Notch Standards also means Client need to be Top Notch as well.... no matter what kinda equipments, engineer they have... many a time still depends on the producers and msuicians to get great results.

i was at Pavane a couple of months ago. really nice place.

i don't really like the place though... doesn't have a good ambience for recording, to me. i prefer dodgy and dark places when i'm recording. LOL.

but the studio is very spacious. and the control room has the Herman-Miller chair that costs $2000. VERY COMFORTABLE, i must say. hahah.

bong. pavane gets projects from many schools' production, pri to tertiary. Each project they earn quite alot, since schools have lotsa funds from the government....

The studio is big, heard they did recordings for the combined school choir for Youth Festival, thats about 100 over students!!! The hours they will need to record, plus mixing n mastering... good money man.

bong : yes like what aaron said, government projects. and the one other thing that funds = religion. (christianity) I've heard rumours about a church having a couple of neumann U87s and uses loads of Mackie HR824s as its normal PA speaker. just heard. no proof basis.

Visited Pavane in Jan 2007 - think it is the best studio in Singapore with the latest gears and good acoustics. Heard that the studio was designed by a famous acoustic designer and bulit by a local company here. They must have spent a bomb doing up the place !
