new guitar. explorer? strat?

hey nitrobro. saw your ltd explorer already. looks good. but i'd prefer the look of epiphone explorer. but of course i have to go try out both guitars to see whihc one im more comfortable with.

guitanub: sweet axe. though i dont dig the design. but EMGs. awesome and 1400 is way off my budget. haha

Rockstars-Inc: get ur point..adrian smith's strat dont sound like a traditional strat..i dunno, but maybe change to fender pickups?
or those high-output ones that were wired for stratocasters..i dunno, maybe some1 experienced can comment on this? but for all i know, dave murray changed the pickups on his strat (to some single-coil-sized double coiled pickups) n it still sounds like a strat..love that tone man..

and how much is the ltd ex-400(the one witout the diamond plate pickguard)and ex-260?
