Hello everyone. I need suggestions for a new guitar.
1) I have a measly budget of $400.
2) I play stuff anywhere from Blink 182 to Muse to Metallica.
3) It is only for the Guitar, no starter packs please because i only want the Guitar.
4) I have heard of the Cort M-200 but i would like other choices too.
5) Thanks.

Hmm.

I would point you in the direction of Stagg or Squier guitars. Also, do scour the 2nd hand market on SOFT or elsewhere, because I'm sure you can unearth a few good deals yourself.

Save more to get a guitar with floating tremolo. Matt Bellamy and Kirk Hamett use it often in their solos.

if you are not particular with brand name, the best deal (tone & playability in mind) for that kida money, i'd say you check Rally's GL-300 out:

Wow that looks nice.
What do you think would be a suitable budget for me since i have to save up now. Say 500-800?
Thanks for the suggestions!

a good, likeable guitar isn't budget bound. the Rally GL model you see above is only $370 off the shelf. i'd rather you spend the balance on some other tone-enhancing considerations (pedals/ amp/ etc...).

And why do you need another guitar? Do you have a decent amp and effects to play with already? Would be better than getting a new guitar...

It also depends which shape you want...strat or lespaul or V, etc. Or if you want a really wacky shaped guitar I suggest you go for a b.c.rich

Actually, i have no idea why i want a new guitar though.
Maybe its because i have no idea what effects i want to buy?
Any suggestions for effects or sth?
Budget like $200.

What do you want actually?. What kind of sound/tone do you want out of your guitar?.

I'm planning to buy a new guitar as I've been playing a fixed bridge for quite sometime and want to try a floating tremolo guitar.

Four questions for you,

- You do not have any pedals right now?
- You have a guitar & amp?
- What amp are you using?
- What do you actually want?

I think lps are enough for you.....but of course its not just the shape that determines a guitar's sound....
