Need Recommendation For A Budget Mic For Home Recording

Hi,

I know this sounds really noob. But i need some help here. =D

What is a good recording mic for both vocals and acoustic guitar? My budget is about 100 - 120 bucks. I'm poor la. only NSF. Any recommendations? My limited span of knowledge tells me that the good brands are like Senheiser and Shure. And I've been hearing that alot of studios use condenser mics. I'm lost. Can someone help?

you recording into the computer? you have the recording interface already?

James asked a very good question and pointed out something important. If your audio interface is bad, forget about getting good mics. It makes no difference. However, you can still use a cheapo mic and get relatively good results on a good audio interface.

I'm using a MacBook with iMic (usb audio adapter) since there's no mic-in port. I planned on getting a conveter so that i can connect the mic with the iMic.

you can try getting a usb condensor mic. i have never tried it before but is is quite affordable.
