which multifx do u prefer and value for money?
Korg AX3000, Boss ME-50, POD XT LIVE, Zoom G9.2TT, Vox Tonelab SE
i wanna try out diff kinds of FX first b4 buying analog pedals...
Thanks!

boss me-50

Its the only processor meant to be used with guitar amps
The rest are designed to be used best straight to p.a/ flat response amp.

You can't go wrong with the Line6 pod xt live, or the Boss GT8. I would recommend the GT8 over the line6 though, more realistic sounding, and also more organic. Responds better to guitar vol knob changes better than the line6.

I would say if you're getting started in the realm of effects etc. A multifx would be a good choice. I used one for about 8 years till I finally knew what I wanted. A good ole made in jp Boss GT5. I've got a whole bunch of pedals right now, but a small part of me still misses it! ;)

On the Boss GT series, users have the choice of whether they want to choose the output to be direct, line-in, headphone etc...very versatile.

I dont think a me50 is tt good. I had one. just got rid of it recently. the line 6 pod is a good choice. go for a xt live or a xt pro.

harmony central.. i think u shuld trust ur own ears la. read then shortlist then try. if u like it buy it. no cash? rob the bank/

j_m_s please tell me three things !!

1) have you owned a multieffects before ?
2) if yes, how long did it take you get the whole deal of how it works and all the little tweaks ?
3) do local shops allow you to do the above for at least an hour ?

.... i have learnt sometimes i need other peoples ears as many years of good tone is now starting to give the placbo effect !!

hmmm ok....is there any other place where i can get gt-8 besides swee lee?

BTW how do u put pics below ur nickname,C,stars, joined on oct 2nd?

get a behringer V-amp multifects if u're a fan of lags between changing distortion to clean

lol how long is the lag man. wth. strum air guitar in between for show.

for GT8, u can try Music Theme at Penni ... just rd the corner of Davis. they'r selling for 700+ ... it's how u bargain with them ... maybe u'll b lucky ... :D

Yup ive owned multi effects before

A few hours.. haha

Depends on the shop i think!. and the owner. or just go everydady try awhile!

harmony central reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt sometimes...they are either too good to be true or the extreme opposite.

btw the tubes in the tonelab don't do anything for its sound right? does digital modelling require tubes?

The GT8 can't touch the Line6 XTL. The thing is, the stock patches suck in the XTL. But get a bundle of the net or tweak to your own, and you will get a sound identical to a tubeamp - dynamics, sustain, everything.
