hi guys right now we're running keyboards and vocals through a behringer mixer into 2 delta audio speakers. the mixer is the XENYX 2442FX, while im not sure about the speakers, but they are active.

my question is, we've been having a hard time hearing the vocals and keyboards clearly sometimes. we're looking to invest in a pair of monitors.

i stumbled upon this ad and was wondering if i could buy it, as im not sure it'll work with my setup. will i need something else? or is just plug to mixer and its done?

http://luthermusic.com/classifieds/detail.php?id=18414 is the ad btw.

thanks! btw if that doesnt work, can you guys recommned something?

Hi jupzones

Can't hear clearly for the whole band or for the keyboardist/singer? Cos if it is for the whole band then maybe you need to balance the volume between each other better.

If can't hear clearly for the keyboardist/singer, one way is to move them closer to the speakers.

hmm i think the problem is the vocals and keyboards aren't 'loud enough'. vocally it would be less taxing on the voice if our vocalist didnt have to strain to be heard.

process it?

hey mate.. Maybe you could try panning the tracks, it could be the Masking problem.. Or you could resort to processing the signal that is being masked by the means of Eq.. you can cut off unwanted frequencies for other instruments that is masking your vocal/keys tracks.. or you could simply boost some frequencies for the tracks that u wanna hear. There's a lot of scenarios on how you can solve the problem.. maybe all you need to do is to balance out your mix?

hope this helped! Cheers mate!
