Need Help on Zil Bel

I have the 6" version. It makes a high pitch, ringy voice. And rings out for awhile
but a band will drown it out though.

In a band setting, I would suggest the 9.5" version more. It's good for little fills and splash combos.

Yamaha brings in this but almost one at a time.
You can choose not to put the zil-bel on top of the ride but
separately like a splash. In that case, you can use two bells.

i actually really want some of the sabian alu bells. i tried the zil bell, sounds weird.
but damn the alu bells are ex man

A teacher of mine used to use a 6" one a bit and it sounded great. he'd just have it loose put it upside down on the floor tom whenever he needed it so he could play patterns with the right hand.

also if you put them on your snare drum you get a great hiphop kinda gated sound. really cool. same goes for splashes

LP make a version of it that's pretty much the same but a bit cheaper, Ufip make really nice Ice Bells in a few different sizes too

for effects i guess....

kind of like the starting of YYZ by Rush.. that is if you dont like playing wif the bells of your ride ah..

i guess so
