Hi all,

i was reading that guitar one magazine and they reviewed about ebmm jp model.. after reading about his bridge with built in piezo system, i was thinking.. haha.. can my new gotoh floyd rose bridge be installed with some piezo saddles?

if that is possibly, what will it be? as in... tone wise? advisable? or will it cause the gotoh unable to function properly? or or or?

Alrite.. please chip in your best sincere knowledge!

Peace!

very possible. u can look into Shadow or Graphtech piezo saddles. Graphtech saddles has its own high mid sound, and i like the change. just got mine in :)

for floyd rose? hows e wiring going to be like? will it affect the playing? this n that?

i highly doubt playablity of the bridge is going to be an issue. best to hear from a piezo saddle FR user on any problems.
wires, if u want it hidden then most likely a cavity needs to be drilled. if its thru the bridge pup bracket, it'll be slightly visible.

Highly unlikely to affect playability - ibanez owners with the pieze equipped edge have never complained.

However.

You can't remove your floyd rose due to the wiring. You need to drill small holes thru your floyd's base plate - each saddle has its own wire. You have to enlarge your electronics cavity (probably).

And frankly.... while.. it is a functional upgrade - playing live its a useful tool - I doubt its usefulness as an acoustic replacement @ home or in the studio.

haha k guy.. after watching Dream Theater Score repeatively.. i think i'll juz wanna stick with a real accoustic guitar when parts requires.. or unless till e day they've comfirmed a good solution for floyd rose upgrade with piezo by graphtech..
