Need help on Orville Les paul guitar

Hey guys! i was thinking of getting this Orville Les paul from ebay.
heres my question:
1.Is this a legit piece?
2. and is it worth the price?

yes it probably is legit.

i've had 3 orvilles, 2 were hits and 1 was a miss, i guess you have to be lucky to avoid a lemon

those pickups look weird.

not saying that they are fake, as the covers seem to have faded equally well with the other hardware.
probably cheap looking is a better word.

It's a Terada-made Orville, so it's specs aren't as historically accurate as its Fujigen-made cousins. Still it's decently priced and legit.

whats the diff between the terada made and fujigen? and are the ones with 'Orville by gibson' printed on the headstock better?

Biggest difference is that the Terada pieces used short tenons whereas the Fujigens had the period-correct long tenons. Orville by Gibson(OBG) is the flagship line. Terada manufactured those as well and featured more accurate specs, but again the Fujigen-made ones are more sought after due to the general consensus that their QC was better.
