The keyboard is a midi controller. That means it will give you no sound. You'll need a tone generator to play sounds when you hit the keys. Tone generators come in the form of hardware (synths, sound modules) or software (VST plug-in instruments).
Their website info is very deceiving. Quote:
"TonePort KB37 maximizes your creativity with a full-sized 37-note velocity sensitive keyboard controller to add even more sounds."
A midi controller gives no sound. Other things are needed to "add" sounds.
Also, info is really sketchy on their website. If there's no midi ports, then you won't be using any hardware modules. Is there a USB port? I imagine so since they are shipping with Ableton Live Lite. With Ableton, you can use VSTi plug-ins to give you sounds. There are license-free plug-ins you can download legally. Do a search in this forum and you'll find lots of references. For better sounds, you will have to pay.
