Need help in deciding on electronic drum set (two deals already offered)

Just a quick question. I have been offered both a Yamaha DTXpress 2 set and a Roland TD-3 set for a somewhat similar price (the TD-3 being around $100 more). I was wondering which one you all would recommend to purchase. I really like the more "realistic" parts on the TD-3 (snare, crash etc.) but I wanted some more opinions based on price. I'm perfectly willing to pay for either.

Thanks for your help.

$100 more is a deal hard to find in singapore - i would suggest the Roland :) the sounds are more realistic so you would have a better experience. while the dtxpress module can do more things than the td-3, i think the td-3 is overall a better buy. you won't have play-along songs, but you can still plug in mp3, and for practice, there's rhythm coach as well =)

I just went to try the roland td 3 at swee lee as im deciding between roladn td3,yamaha dtxpress 4 special and pintech escape.I had a yamaha dtxpress 3 btw but i hated hitting on rubber pads, just suck for me.
The try out for the roland td3 with the mesh head for the snare is great it feels really great to hit.Immediately i dropped my choice for the yamaha dtxpress 4 special despite its extra cymbal, ride with bell ability and great sounds. As hitting on rubber pads just doesn't do it for me.
So i advise the roland td3 over the yamaha anytime.

I would advise the roland one as well. Roland V drums are supposedly MUCH better than its competitors and i myself have tried out a yamaha one (the better one at plaza sing) and the roland td 3 and i prefer the td 3 by a mile. and for 100 bucks i think thats an excellent deal
