need an amp

there's too much hype surrounding the current DSL/ TSL, they do not sound fantastic. if you are bent on getting a Marshall, the JCM heads are the works.
 
in my opinion,the JCMs cannot be matched in the marshall series..

but the dsl/tsl do a very decent job.....not as good as the jcms but still very good.... :D
 
the jcms... huh so should i get a combo or a stack. stack would cost too much, right? and i can find all these in davis.
 
you cant get the combos new anymore. Marshall stopped making them. Stack might be a bit of an overkill. Its good looking furniture though.
 
okay i need opinions here. went down to sweelee simsdrive and tried out the peavey 5150 212 combo. sounded great (: they offered 1.7k after discount.
 
somebody on this forum has (or had) a 5150 before.... was it vernplum? but hardly see him post here now...
 
bought it (: haha and it's great omg just played it. the lead channel is insane! lots and lots of gain. only complaint is that it feedbacks a hell lot on the lead channel (pre7 post 2). i can get nice decent clean tones from it in the rhythm channel (pre 2 post 5). love it (:
 
haha you can go to the sweelee at sims drive and ask the guy there. im sure he'll be happy to help. there's a room full of amps. be careful they dont fall on you.. :D
 
hey sub someone selling a jcm900 2101 tube combo..i;m looking to acquire a full tube marshall combo..what do u think of that combo for $980?
