nano bassballs

Nano bassball

There are 2 trimpots inside the nano bassballs that you can use a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the 2 filters. One is the higher Freq and one is the low Freq filter. I find that after adjusting you can achieve much more. = )

bassballs

yup, open up the rear plate and on the top right there are 2 small holes with 2 white circles that are shaped in a arrow fashion. I would advise using a pencil and marking the sides so you can remember the original settings.

thanks Musicana77!

I got it!
:-)

I just recently bought a new 5 string active ibanez bass with bartolini pup and after tweaking the bassballs I thought it is the one making the static humming sound, but after taking out the bassballs, it is still the same,..the humming only goes away if I hold all the 5 strings,....kinda grounded (i think),....

any idea to fix it?

please help advise,.........

oh, relax, that's cos your amp is not grounded. you must be using a 2-pin power cable for your amp. replace it with a 3-pin cable, or you can DIY it into a 3-pin. there should be a sticky guide in gear-guitar or somewhere that shows you how to do it

after that it should be much quieter. there probably still be hum which is negligible, unless you plan on rockin' your neighbours

Thanks Shinobi,...

I have a differnt bass, also ibanez 5 string active bass (fieldy model K5) and it doesnt humm,..

but the new one i got,.. sr205th SOL got this humming static sound,...its not that loud but it is a bit anoying as i am hearing the humming when comparing the two,...
:-(

Ibanez K5 active 5 string ---> hartke A25 amp = no humm
