Name of local CD shops

do give the names and address of some local CD shops which sells local music... I'm sure many of us would like to pay them a visit.

I am not sure if they sell local bands' cds, b'coz i never asked. But i know they have quite a good collection of Chinese underground/indie music from the region, mostly Taiwan and Hong Kong...

where do you usually distribute your company's releases? it would be great if you can share with us some insider (industry) information like;

1. what's the cut for distributors / label / publisher / record company.
2. what's the cut for music store
3. what are the payment terms
4. anything else that you feel will benefit a DIY local release.

basically, DIY local releases are hard to get anywhere...believe it or not....i have another ad in the forum. I'm gathering all local bands, artistes in any genre music CDs so that I can plan out something to help them.

Uh, you mean the Excelsior Hotel Shopping Arcade beside Peninsula? Within walking distance from City Hall MRT.

By the way, there's this CD shop in Peninsula's basement that sells all sorts of heavy stuff. Black, doom, ____-core, you name it. Stuff like Nightwish, Manowar, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Emperor, Kataklysm. Its probably the only specialised metal shop there is in Singapore. Sells posters too. You might wanna check it out.
