Cool shit, chords really sound better after tuning my guitar with this thing. The reading actually moves the moment I *touch* my tuning peg. That's how sensitive it is. I'm happy

The GTR temperment, it's weird. This tuning actually tunes the guitar such that there is almost no beating at all when playing power chords, but the sound is less agressive. Hmm.

Around $350 I think. My recording rig's not up at the moment and I need to book back into camp later.. Maybe I'll record this weekend. There isn't a really huge diff, but there is a difference.

The feitan system moves away from the old tempered tuning of the guitar.

The commonly used chords will be more in tune with themselves, thereby sounding 'better'. However when you play in a band where everyone else is using the old tempered tuning, you may find that you are now out of tune with them.

Or so I've read.

Thats the case ark, with things like Feiten and Earvana. You compensate on 1 thing, but then you become very in tune with say, keyboards (NOT acoustic pianos) but the compensation applies more to... open chord voicings. Apparently, if you play barred chords or semi barred chords high up, the Feiten system makes it more out of tune.

Aight. Cooked up a simple demo of the SS. The tuning is Eb (drop b1) and I just intonated my guitar with SS's instructions using the standard EQU temperment while using my old strings. No new strings as davis is *always* out of stock of 10-46. My guitar is tuned with the GTR temperment as I noticed MUCH less beating while playing power chords with this temperment. The interesting thing is, full chords sound better with the EQU setting.

Very simple demo, nothing fancy as my playing sucks. Really.

At about 30 seconds the vid demonstrates the touch sensitiveness of this tuner. It's so bloody sensitive the reading moves once I apply pressure on the tuning peg!

Just received it today. Got to find time to really play with it.

Anyway, just to check. On non efx loop effects chain, is this ok? Tuner-> Wah -> Compressor -> OD -> Delay.
