Me with my baby.

In all, i spent $175 on the Bigsby B5, $25 for the Vintage 3-Saddle bridge and $7.50 on new strings. The paint and the rest are my personal stocks. so yeah. Contrary to popular belief, the guitar now has more sustain and rarely goes out of tune. It instead locks the tuning much better.

Enjoy. =)

Nice job bro, salute you for your 10 hrs endurance sanding the body. Did experience that myself and nearly gave up.

i used a chemical that bite off the paint before, apply and leave over nite. Gd work there, how long did urs take to dry and harden?

hmm my advice is don't put the parts back on the body too soon. paint needs some time to dry and if it's not fully dried, it can stick to your bigby or other parts if you take them out next time.

How long to fully dry? 3 months enough or not?
Ts the groove cut on bridge look sharp, any particular reason for not using Bigsby bridge?

use your finger nails to scratch a small portion of the surface. if you see a scratch, its not dry yet. peng kang in the sun longer haha.

if it still doesn't dry after like 6 months or so, can refinish already lo cos your probably didn't apply enough sealant / wait long enough for it to dry. not applicable in this case though.

Mine dried in 1min. But I gave it another hour just in case. I use a spraypaint made for aerosol art that dries upon contact. It's a well known brand amongst graffiti artists around the world. With it's 'hard to buff' signature sticking power, I thought Im giving it a go. So far so good. Hee.

Oh. Haha.. Aesthetics. But yuh, it'll be a whole lot easier with that bridge. I got the tremolo without the bridge. It look sharp but I sanded it roundish later and added some personal touches to it's shape.

It took an hour to fully dry.

I can't help but notice that overturned stretcher/canvas, curious what's on the front?
