Tracks :
1) Drum samples from IK Multimedia
2) Backing guitar track - does the picking and the bass lines simultaneously
3) Lead and heavier rhythm

A wee bit rough on the edges with the obligatory minor timing issues and bum notes. But I really like the sound of this one.

Worked on the backing track for a couple of weeks. The lead and heavy rhythm was a one-off where I was improvising to get some ideas to overlay over the backing track. Not tidy work but lots of good stuff came out of it. Enough ideas for a 45-second solo and enough dynamics to cover the backing track.

Let me know what you think. Any vocalist interested?

hmm... went thru a couple of your tracks.. i think you could ease up on the delay and reverb. Other then that and the timing issues... its not bad for a rough take.
I look forward to hearing what you add to the track from here.

Just kidding there. I like the delays though, it makes it more atmospheric, yeah, can't wait to hear the final one. Awesome work.

Thanks for the time and comments ChanMin. I think I need the delay for this one. I don't use it alot but like Plastic says, for texturing purposes, it does the job.

And Plastic, thanks for the kind words. You must BELIEVE.

I'm not too sure how this one will pan out. If it's going to be an instrumental then lots more work to be done on the solo bits. I'd much rather have vocals. If no vocals are forthcoming then I'd much rather work on recording other ideas that are wrecking my brains.

it would help (and sound better) if the drums got busier 35-36 seconds (the "chorus" bit) if you want to put vocals on. more ups and downs.
