it's definitely used. i saw it at GC, pickup covers are tarnished.

i suppose he wants to say that this is an MIJ Epiphone made before the time when they changed the headstock to the current design - therefore this one is rare/collectible. in that way, it is important to him i guess.. part of the fun of collecting guitars

i guess so..its nice to have something unique chips here and there but overall yea its definately playable, i love the sound and hey, it looks better a bit "used" eh?

in a way i agree with you about how used guitars (with chips and dings) can look good.

but personally, wear and tear does not look as good on a Gibson (or PRS, Gretsch, ESP, even Ibanez etc) as it does on a Fender (strats and teles in particular).

but that said, gimme a relic Strat any day over a mint Gibby

my lp looks exactly like yours, but mines a korean. Changed the bridge pickups to seth lovers with gold pickup cover. The gold pickup cover makes alot of difference to the lp appearance.. kickass look kickass tone.

You took off the pickguard? or it comes without the pickguard?

tinted: no if yours is p90 you have to cut the hole humbuckers are bigger.

hifi: i took the pickguard off to make it more "slash'ed" haha

by right its epi but technically its built by gibson's japanese domestic market branch(ex-orivlle by gibson, correct me if im wrong). so its a "cheap" gibson and an "expensive" epi? :lol: :lol:
