how about Ngee Ann Film sound and video ?

although they teach a little bit of recording studio techniques and sound engineering , i would prefer to study sound as an ENTIRELY PURE subject of specialisation...

to tell u the truth , Film and Video dun really interest me at all and it's always better to pick a course which could sustain ur interest for the next 3 years instead of going to school everyday juz because u want to get that diploma that's all...

if that's the case

if that's the case... ...

you can re-apply next year, there's no age limit to tertiary education
as long as you meet the grade.

if it's because of your results not good enough to gain entry to the course,
my advice is re-do your O levels, make sure you get good grades and apply for the course again next year. One year to change your life but make sure you get better results at least improvement in 2 folds.

this is a crude way but if you insist to get to the course, one year of sacrifice
may change your whole life.

haha i guess i ain't gonna do that....

16 points for L1 R4 and 20 points for L1 R5 is already a big acheivement for me considering the fact i was a big time slacker from sec 1 to mid sec 4.i only started working my A$$ off in june last year....

so 20 points is already good enough for a slacker like me

if its good enough for u then be contented u can't enter SP's DMAT! u shouldn't reap rewards u're not willing to work for

frummer u know what i intend to do if i make it to SP????

go make friends wif a few students from the audio tech course and then ask them to lend u their audio tech notes and then u bring it to the campus photocopying shop and have it zapped.... 8)

huh?lol....might as well make frenz with them...AND HUNT EACH 1 OF THEM DOWN LYK ANIMALS!!! I mean come'on...cut off point 12! can go mass comms man!...smartypants nowadayz...

if u were that serious about the course u would probably do that instead of RESORTING TO VIOLENCE...

just a little something which i have observed so far....

people who started on music when they were young kids (pianio , violin , guitar etc) tend to grow up to be intelligent people....

out of these intelligent musicians , the piano seems to be the most common instrument of choice.Maybe because piano playing requires u to exercise both sides of ur brain. the left side belonging to creativity and "out of the box" thinking while the right side on memory work (such as scales and chords) no biasness involved thou....

these are the people in my opinion would make up about half or maybe even 3/4 of the entire intake......

dangerous as in it not only tarnishes SAE's reputation but also discourages anyone who might be intending to study audio or whatever at SAE.

so if you will and can, please justify your comment on SAE being pointless to enroll in.

so if it IS pointless to study at SAE, this can be a good piece of advice for the interestees.

Hmm...my view of pianist. They start from young...grow up to forget it 3/4 of em. Pianos are common coz its HIGH CLASS...i even noe a family hu has a piano in the living room but no1 noes how yo play it.Its jux the looks. Family hu encourages kids to have piano or pursue it are people with *ahem more money on their hands *ahem .

BTW...JAE is jux purely on the results... musical or not...as long u got good results ur in...sarks rite...

yeah man i rather they base it on academic results and musical talent at the same time....

u know i came to know this family and the first time i stepped into the house and saw the keyboard cover of their piano lifted open and a bunch of piano score books were placed right in front of the keyboards and my first impression was that the family members played the piano.somehow they heard me play Exodus (The Maksim Song) on the electric piano in the kid's room , they told me to play it on their piano and the moment i laid my fingers on it , the keys were sooooooooooo dusty for me to play...hahax

so i drew up this conclusion that the piano keyboard cover was left open for how many donkey years and was for show only....

yes it's quite true that some families buy a grand piano and place it in their house when no member of the family can play it.It is for status sake only....

oh btw i'm not rich , my mom had to borrow money from my relatives to buy my piano and slogged hard at work to pay for my piano lessons even if it means she taking on a free lance job on weekends....
