i did not make it thru La Salle SIA's Music Technology Course and SP's Music and Audio Technology Course...

I FEEL SO UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED WITH MYSELF FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE COURSE WHICH I HAD THE ONLY INTEREST IN...

some words of advice please.....

i want to apply for some courses at SP and would like to know whether the appealing period is still on.......

is the DAE period still open for music and audio tech at SP????

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I FEEL SO LOST!!!!

hey man, life's full or failures. since last year, i have not passed a single test in school. except last year final years i did 50.1. so got promoted. but it doesnt really matter if u dont succeed.......its when u fail alot.....then suddeny u succeed that the success is greatest. anyway...my life's screwed too, if i fail my a's this year then well.....haiz....at this rate i probably will anyway.

maybe you can try the multimedia technology course in sp..theres also music module covered..but not that deep into it..but this course dun specialise in anything..so might be abit hard to look for job nxt time..i dunno whats the cop of it now..during my time is 17 i think

cheers

okay here are my backup choices....

1) music tech at SP (FAT HOPE but i still wanna apply if it's still possible)

I'm okay wif Business IT and i hope they still have vacancies....

If not , then i guess it's Real Estate Business at Ngee Ann Poly for me (damn i never expected this to happen on my JAE!!!!)

Definitely. This disucssion appeared in other forums as well - interesting. Can't speak much for sound engineers, but for most of the music producers in other forums, majority agree that certs does not make any difference in whether they perform well/ get a job etc in the music scene.

Hey you're not alone.THE CUT-OFF POINT IS 12 @(#*(@)#*@)( CAN U BELIEVE IT!Those NERDS!!!took up our places!!!I bet they think they're becoming musicians...)(@#_)(#@)#

DAE is over...i applied last minute but they havnt call down for interview/audition.

Hey man. Good to see you here. Drinks again soon.

Too bad man, that's the way the edu system works in Singapore.

If you want to succeed, you MUST depend on yourself. If you think you gonna get lucky, tough, wait in line buddy. Everyone hoping to get lucky too. Just look at the 4D queue line.

If you think by wallowing in your misery will help, sorry dude, then you keep wallowing for the rest of your life, while others have "kept on walking".

If you think by ranting, you can make the system change, sorry you just sound like a whiney brat.

Seriously, if you want to drown your sorrow in alcohol, do it in one go and settle that (please make sure you are not a minor). If you wallow and turn to alcohol for solace, sorry, alcohol does not work that way. You only feel good for a little while then you'll feel worst then before you started, cause alcohol will betray you like fair wheather friends, and the hangover will make you regret even starting.

The worst thing is to fall into alcoholism. Never do such thing, as you will become a burden not only to yourself, but to your love ones too.

So buddy, please pick yourself up and "keep on walking".

:) :) Hope this will cheer you up.

PS: He is not a whiney brat ( neither am i ) haha.He is jux letting out his opinions considering it is KOPITIAM forum...

I was once your age dudes, I can understand what you r going thru. I went thru one yr of pre-u wasting time too. Spent 4yrs in poly instead of 3.

Relax lah.....there are many others who are facing what you are now. So you not alone.

Juz trying to encourage you on your journey. And not fall prey to ills of society, it's very easy at your age, trust me.

Depend on yourself to hammer the road straight, cuz no one will do it for you. No short cuts either, will be deadend or trap.

If you tink school life sucks, wait till you go into army (combat vocation). and if you think army life sucks, wait till you come out to the world.

All these are in fact preparing you to face what tommorow will bring.

Oh no....... I tink real estate business is not a good idea......

Maybe having a dip in estate management could bode you well....seeing our property prices are quite good, people willing to spend money to upkeep their condos......hahaha.
