My left hand single (warning:beginner ^_^)

Try using just your wrist to flick up, and use your fingers to wack it down... you want a fast left hand for what? Derek roddy follower?

umm...i dont think thats the point, dont all ur drummers train speed and all that so when u play normal songs u can play them with ease?as in,is it fast already?no right?

as you play, you'll slowly build speed. but if you want blast notes like derek roddy, then you've got to train... go to youtube, look for him.
personally i don't like his style of playing, i prefer more expressive playing. And for expressive solos, most soloists use traditional.
They feel its more 'artistic'. and they're technics fit traditional hold better.

hurmm.. kinda agree wit u.. Me myself dont really like fast speed kinda thing. I'm more into Carter Beauford, Dennis Chambers, Gadd kinda thing. They can be fast and they fast musically!

yeah, i prefer those that just flow along with cool grooves. Rather than blasting. cos blasting is a skill. But GROOVING is a talent.

yea,im not building up speed juz for those unrythemic solos that blast away so quickly u cant even get the apprciate each part of the set.i juz wanna ensure that i can play tunes that require many ghost notes etc. smoothly without much strain.
