The neck is comfortable to play and the Tele twang is there, when I play it in the mid position thru a delay echo pedal, whoa, 50s vibes, man...: )

I`m guessing its alder..hehe..cant be too sure...bought from the shop near Luthermusic, cant remember the name of the shop hehe..music essentials?

J&D guitars are made of alder i think. saw it on their official site...

what wood is good and how do we know?

tele purists would advocate for alder as it really brings out that signature honk.
