My Experience at Cash Converter

they have grow smarter over the years, saw that a metal dude sold off his ltd ex-50 for $40.00.... :)

haha i love cash converter!

bought my first guitar for $6 at punggol.

classical guitar with steel strings, even green coloured too!

but i wonder, how much did they buy it off the original owner?

yap they SUCK: i was scolded many times by their "customer" service staff dont know for what: they r rude & very crappy & once 1 of them even scolded me 4 letter words: just boycott them lah!

actually, thing is, you can find the most awesome deals there. the have nice high end stuff selling for really really low prices, all due to sheer ignorance. so buying from them is good, selling to them, is reallya bad idea. plus the people that work there tend to give you the same buay song face whenever you walk in.

actually depends on how you look at it, saw a few mid to high end guitars there b4, fender, epis, ovation and yes gibson...but their prices are the same as as shops, if not higher..haha...

Re: My Horrible Experience in Cash Converter

I’m glad that you stood firm against those ignorant fools. I was there once & saw a used Epi Sheraton once in the window going for a good $900+… HA HA HA

The thing with Cash Converters is that they know nuts about stringed instruments. It’s good to quiz them before you actually cut a deal.

I was at the Jurong East branch the other day & saw an Ibanez GRX going for $150, a rather fair deal considering the guitar’s condition- jammed pots, fair bit of rust, warped neck, dirty fretboard… they just leaned the poor thing against the rack on the floor. I walked away looking at other stuff there when I saw the guitar dropped to the floor when one of the salesman knocked it over. He quickly stood it up & pretended nothing happened. I approached him & pretended to be an interested party so I asked if the guitar could be had for less. He said “Very good condition, sorry no less,” was the answer. Then I told him I just saw him knock it over & now the neck is warped (ha! I played my bluff there!)- I pretended to sight the neck & gave unapproving facial expressions. “I have to ask my manager,” was the delayed response. Talk about business ethics…

Lol the bedok branch one had an epihone ace frehley custom and a epi slash afd! pity those guitars sitting there
