yep, some years back I had already done a polka dot finish for a customer. He wanted a black finish with the halogen (SRV sticker type) circles....

quite easy actually if you already have a black strat. Getting the Buddy Guy decal will be pricy though coz my UK contact says it would be under "customed work"

Thanx for the comments .... yes, the acual Fender decals - various sourcesare cheaper especially vintagemojo site but I found the cheapest & best CS decal from the axesrus site

hah Im too busy wt day work etc but I did these coz of my fondness of these artistes.... I dont think I COULD even if I wanted to , open a custom shop for artiste replicas ... but it's nice as a hobby.

Yo fgl,

Actually the decal might be a tad too big, based on pictures and those i have at home, the decal seems to start a few mm to the right and end at the same spot.

So I think you got decals that were just a tad oversized or a bit too long.

Did you do any clear coats over the decals?

decal size ...maybe... I guess the manufacturers cant be 100% original since its not original...

yes , multiple clear coats, sand, clear coat, sand, etc etc before a final buff out to a satin finish to match the neck

For cheaper alternative with non routing you could try the emg afterburner from Davis

well ...seeing that your axe is a rather pricy one and with these decals and especially with your axe there is no margin for error ... you might want to get someone to do it if your're a first timer at these kinda things

not really, coz except for the jap body which was 2nd hand - all other parts were brand new & org US Fender (except the neck which is Mighty mite lah)

I will calculate my total cost for the neck component and PM U later...
