I recently got a MXR 10 band EQ.
The provided power supply was spoilt but the guy who sold it to me told me that I could use a 1spot @ 9v. I tried using the 1 spot @ 9v and it worked.
But imho, when playing with the levels at full up or full down (supposedly with a maximum difference of 24 dBs), the eq changes that i heard seemed very minor.
I would like to know if it's because of the usage of a 9v instead of an 18 volt power supply which could affect the headroom. Or is there some kind of internal step up device that is really what is letting me use the 9volts.
Will I spoil it by running the electronics underpowered?
Cheers,
firethorn.
