i do not own this pedal however i got to test it extensively along with my lead guitarist that day
The FD-55 is a digital effects modelling pedal made by Muza under medeli, a company that i knew through its e-drums (think of boss made by roland)

Build/Features
The Pedal has a solid chasis and is painted red. i dont know why all the distortion pedals are painted red (think crunchbox, mighty red distortion and etc.)
That big ring around the footswitch makes the pedal look like an ipod HAHA
the pedal has 6 knobs which you can think which can be quite overwhelming at first, but a quick look at the manual and you're good to go!

In use
i liked the vintage proco rat mode they had most. Very warm yet intense tone.
The DS-1 was also pleasant to the ears.
the tubescreamer would probably push another distortion or an amp nicely
alot of metal/heavy/fuzz drives but theyre not my thing. my friend loves those tones though

The high/mids/low/gain/tone/volume knobs were pretty responsive to my tweaking

the 6 preset thing is quite cool too. for on the fly changing of tones for people who play live regularly

1.IBANEZ®
TS808 (TUBE SCREAMER®)

2.MXR®
M-104 (distortion+)

3.BOSS®
DS-1 (DISTORTION)

4.DUNLOP®
FUZZFACE™

5.ELECTRO-HARMONIX®
BIG MUFF π™

6.Rat
ProCo™
VINTAGE RAT™

7.DOD®
FX69 (GRUNGE®)

8.IBANEZ®
SM7 (SMASH BOX®)

9.BOSS®
MT-2 (METAL ZONE®)

10.DOD®
FX86 (DEATH METAL™)

Gear used:
• Guitars: gibson sg special, project telecaster, squire stratocaster
• Amps: some nice trace elliot amp

Final say:
For the price of 129. I would definitely say that the pedal is value for money with 10 effects modelling and 6 presets

The tweaking aspect was pretty fun for me. this pedal has an array of tones

the tones that you can get are pretty close to what theyre modelled after if you set it nicely. but do note that they're just digital modelling effects after all.

Hmm.

Having this pedal on my board is very useful due to the six programmable memory banks, however, that said as I tend to use the DS-1 function only... I really ought to have bought an MIJ DS-1 or something!

Lol.. MIJ DS-1 also got 2 types man.. I'm selling the second one if you're interested..
The silver screw is still for my keeping!:mrgreen:

This looks like a good pedal for people to tweak with if they're into a multi-effects unit, without the modulations (only the drives that is)..

Hmm.

Thanks for the offer... however because I'm a lazy bastard who wants a certain sound *NOW*... I would need to memorise the settings, and that's where the MUZA helps me get where I want with a push of the button.

Furthermore... I use a TS-copy and this pedal might just be a backup for that due to the TS sound inside.

On top of that... I'm now starting to play in a top 40s band... and new sounds might be required... who knows? I might just need to utilise some of the sounds available at my foot right now.
