But I wonder why they label it as "Muslim" influence, not arabic or sth like that. I know the Muslim faith influences the lives and culture of the people alot, but the creativity of people and their own unique quirks surely deserve recognition too. I don't see how faith has anything to do with it.

For wat i know....i Belief in him.....though i play and listen to death metal song...in my heart, i never neglect HIM...say watever ppl say abt death metal being associated with satanic verse and the some ppl even say the vocalist of death metal when sing sounded like satan sing .....(1)so far most of death metal song i been listening to,never come accross 1 who have satanic verse in it.....and (2) how the crap ppl know how Satan sound like?
so for me...i always separate interest and belief....

itz black metal thtz to do w/ satanism. death metal musicians have the freedom to opt out satanism frm their themes (& most of them do), whereas black metal ones r true to their concept. necrophagist's vox is a muslim, bt it doesnt bother him. Be it abt mortification, mutilation, or corpses, death metal is just putting a face to the unimaginable/dark arts. neither am i bothered. besides themes like tht, i also praise the lord in my music. the book of psalms praise the lord with music. music is not haram. too many wise nuts these days. explains the end of the world.

it is haram depends on what you use music for lors...

idk but somewhere some politic party even bans entertainment. idk if this is true because the woman i used to 'ngaji' with told us this.

but..hmm. what about kids who make this 'i can't live without music' statement?

those who care abt haram-halal, they wouldnt go ahead n write music abt the devil n go against God. they might as well put their time into the 5 pillars of islam rather than waste time w/ music.

guttural:you're going straight to hell for that my young lad. i shall be your saviour! give me all your music CDs and guitars, i shall take the sins away from all of you!

Mohamed Suicmez of Necrophagist islam?.....hmmmm never heard or read he admit himself as 1 but he is a Turkish decendant and has a muslim name.......anw abt this halal-haram thing, who are we actually to decide?we are not God,so ppl who say music is haram, but deep inside we know wat we doing it for.furthermore, back then were there death metal music?....is the same as some gal telling me off tat guys cant have long hair becoz it looks like gal...but in the quran there are no such thing stated this and for goodness sake, in religion rites,we forsake to see gal hair even 1 strand unless they are related to us by blood or marriage....think again before saying sometings halal or haram....
