Anyone working as full-time performer? Like what you do is just play guitar in gigs or even resturant? Or is there even such a thing?

If yes, how much canyou earn from these? How many years or experience have you been playing the instrument?

There definitely are! Places like pubs, corporate party and functions have live bands. Other than the pop/rock bands, you have solo or duet musicians for softer music at hotel lounge.

there are also classical musicians who are full time.

as to how much you could earn, it is just like any other job. it depends on your skills/experience aka demand.

Oh.. and can i ask whether do you need any qualifications in studies or anything to do these?

I guess it depends. If you're looking to be a professional pianist for restaurants and stuff I'm sure they'll need to see some qualifications. But for someone playing folk/country songs on guitar at a club? I don't think so. Maybe an audition at the most.

well, if i were to engage a musician, i will base on his/her performance and not the qualification.

but if for teaching in school, sometimes you need paper qualification in order to meet the Ministry of Education's requirement.
