Performed for the very first time in Singapore, Alan Aychbourn and John Pattison’s Faustian tale is a Musical treat for the entire family. Staged at the Drama Centre Black Box in the National Library, this musical promises witty ditties, memorable tunes and several unexpected plot twists.
A Word From Our Sponsor is a musical moral allegory and a tongue-in-cheek performance on the difficulties of sourcing for Arts funding. The futuristic musical is set in an old abandoned railway station, which gradually transforms into a place where dark secrets are revealed.
The musical features enchanting tunes, some entertaining with their humourous verses, and some a haunting reflection of the trials and tribulations that actors and producers often face, especially if they have hidden skeletons in their closet.
Under the direction of renowned vocal coach Low Keng Shin, allow a young, energetic cast to tug at your heartstrings with their charming songs and playful acts.
