Hi,
May I noe wher can i get a software which have the following features?

- Able to compose like guitar pro

- Realistic instrument sounding

- Suitable for demo making

Thanks

Just get a sequencer such as Cubase or Logic, and VSTs that emulate "realistic" instruments. Or better yet, get Reason 3. Everything in a nice package.

but for that reason software..does it need any orkestra CD to be in there or something??..just d/led the beta version..cant really use it w/o the orkestra CD..hrmmm...no crack whatsoever??

Get reason..... reason is the best !!!!

but for reason 3 it need the orkestra cd and the music factory cd to run for the 1st time... after that... it doesn't need it anymore....

Orkesta is part of Reason 3. If you have the beta version, you may not have Orkesta in it. We do not condone piracy in SOFT, so please don't ask anything about crack versions.

I doubt slutgarden has a REAL beta. You have to be registered with the propellerheads to get one and they will most certainly help slutgarden if it is missing.

Talking about Reason, I do have Reason but their default orchestra bank doesn't sound nice, any nice Orchestral sound banks for Reason that I can download for free or buy? Thanks. (I'm in the process of learning how to use Kontakt!!).

Sorry - for good orchestral sounds, you have to use other options. The cheapest option is Garritan Personal Orchestra (GPO) which comes with it's own Kontakt (version 1). If you already have Kontakt 2, the other library that's VERY good and cheap is Kirk Hunter's Symphonic Orchestra Emerald(KHSO). I use the KHSO Emerald Giga version - amazing number of articulations (30GB of samples). The Sapphire version has less articulations and even cheaper. Another option is EWQLSO (Silver) - also comes with Kontakt.

These 3 are the cheapest and best quality orchestral samples you can find.

Anywhere in Singapore that sells GPO? Thought of Gigastudio, but the price was even more expensive than GPO. Well I'm still learning how to use Kontakt, so I'll prolly stick to Reason for awhile longer. :P Thanks Cheez for the info!

You can't find anybody selling it from Singapore. For sample libraries, the market is too small. I know one place where they used to sell samples (only a few) - but later stopped altogether. They told me that they can't compete with the online stalls which are selling them at already a very low price. Samples is still a very small niche. Within Singapore, it's even smaller. I still recall that shop selling the samples at a higher price than the online stall.

I was in HK in a shop that sold samples - same thing. The price was much higher than if I get it online. And they only brought in a few libraries.

So - online samples are always cheaper. GPO is the lowest price possible. For other samples, always wait for a sale. You get one sale per season of the year (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter), and occasional special sales for different sellers (4th of July, Halloween, NAMM sales, anniversaries, Christmas, Easter etc). You need to check out all the online shops - some are cheaper than others. Then there's always group buys. Never buy them at the normal price unless you need the sample urgently.
