Hi everyone,

There's an open post for Music Production Assistant to assist Music Producer in an inflight entertainment company. 3 days a week, any 4hr between 9am-6pm each day. Applicant must have interest in a wide variety of music and is comfy with mac and MS office. Experience in music production is a plus but not necessary, emphasis is on an overall knowledge of various styles of music. Must also be fluent in Chinese and English and comfortable with translations between the 2 languages when needed.

the job requires both that language... your loss if you don't, don't blame anyone else.

What if the job says, French/German and English?

Even better what if the job says, Malay and English?

Use your head lah dey.... its a fricken job requirement not a racial discrimination.

i do admit that racism still exists in singapore, with examples in recruitment print ads which ask for "chinese speaking" ppl. its sad that it effectively closes many doors on our friends.

i find this an unfair practice. its hard to stamp out racism, esp when there are euphemisms, but with education and understanding, it can be slowly eradicated.

still, zhen was nice enough to post a music related job, and to have such a good lobang like this is hard to find. to sh!t on the thread was, imo, unecessary.

i don see any racism in this, if wad they're doing is chinese music n stuff n they need ppl who can speak chinese to communicate effectively, its a job requirement. not to be offensive to anyone, but i dont see the racism in this.

I second that. It's a job requirement that they need to read and converse in Chinese. I once interviewed for flight steward. I passed everything, except for language. They were recruiting for India routes. Nothing racial at all.
