Music Man and OLP guitars

Hey guys. Which is the dealer for Music Man guitars? i Know Davis has OLP but i saw on the ernie ball website that Sinamex is the dealer for their stuff. And what u guys think of their guitars? Good reviews for both i saw.

OLP

OLP is Official Licensed Product. They make copies of certain models of guitars from the above brands you mentioned - Music Man & Ernie Ball.

Sinamex & Davis are probably the 2 distributors in Singapore for OLP guitars.

never seen OLPs in their shop before.

ive tried the OLP luke but it really pales in comparison.. but the olp axis was actually not that bad... change pickups and u good to go.

I have two musicman guitars and I love them. OLP seem to be good value guitars but shouldn't really be compared to musicman. Olp also make other non-musicman guitars too

Davis has a SUB, but to get other musicman models you have to order through Sinamex. Last time i was at sinamex, about a month ago, they didn't have anything. Swee Lee at Sims Drive also have old stock. Some axis sport (Orange SSH) that may be bought at a good price.


BTW there are a couple of different models available on the luther list as well. god luck

music man is defintely wayyy better in quality than olp but for the price its quite value its just like a squier of a fender so which one would you choose? :twisted:

OLP is not a sub company of EBMM. They only have the rights to model their guitars on EBMM's designs.

My Musicman John Petrucci is coming this month. I think it will be a better guitar than my JS1000. Only Sinamex. BUt got gotta wait 4-5 months if u want it.

that review was based on the old format- no +ve/ -ve summary. however, here they are:

SUB1 likes:
*manageable overall mass
*non-gloss neck, although a finished unit- very smooth to the touch, impressed
*locking machine heads
*'industrial' scratch-plate, very tasteful inclusion

SUB1 dislikes:
*250K pots with humbuckers- not a thoughtful match
*protruding bridge string saddles

i've since forgiven the 250K pots inclusion because these give the guitar a sweet, contemporary tone. one of the smoothest humbucking tone this side of Dimarzio 8)
