MUsic in schools.....

To an extent, because most of the damn kids have yet to develop an interest in music.

For one, I know it did me no good. I was not the least bit interested in playing the recorder.

It didn't interest me a bit at that time, but now I realised how important they could have been. Unfortunately, I suck at playing the recorder, and will still suck. I was better at guitar =/

we used to fool with the keyboard in sec1,2... those were the days that SUCKED.learnt nothing.
oh yea... and there was malay drummin and indian dance. all cos my school's damn chinese we had to learn all that. i still can't dance la.

the recorder days were terrible...i remember my music teach told me if u cannot even play recorder, guitar will be even harder...but looks like she's WRONG!! :D i still can't play recorder..

The recorder days, brings a tear to my eyes..hahah becuase i always blow wrongly and kenna ear pulled by my music teacher. But somehow I din hate music, I jus hated the teacher

hahaha...i love playin the recorder when im at pri sch...i still take it out and play once in awhile...but i still sux in it..hahahah...

my school couldnt afford much. poor country school in Australia.

We did music for about 1 hour in 6 a whole 6 years and there wasnt enough tambourines or anything so i dont even remeber if i got a go.

I was interested in blowing random notes all the time back then...and of course, taking apart the recorder and putting it back together, lol.

i used to re-enact swordfights with my trusty (and battle-scarred) recorder...

and of course, i was made to stand in the corner several times because of tat :P

haha they're quite different affairs for secondary schools now. my old school, Crescent, actually has jamming facilities in the new creative arts conservatory, with both electronic and regular drumkit, plus bass and electric guitars and amps and a recording studio.
but primary school...ahha playing Ode to Joy on the recorder was a bit of a waste of time. (any song put onto the recorder just sounds childish to me now somehow.)
