I've been hearing my friends say that the Vox Tonelab is good. I haven't tried it myself. All my opinions are just from hearsay. City Music's having a sale right now. You might wanna check it out. :)

I have a zoom g2.1u and its quite good. There's a rhythm machine, a tuner and everything a multi efx pedal should have. The acoustic simulator is not that good though.

why not consider Boss ME50?

around the same price range as the Korg 3000G

when i was looking for MFX, i found like all the shops no stock ME50 and its above the price of ax3000g by quite abit.

TS: between ax5g and ax3000g, i guess the choice is like obvious? unless u put in price factor and so on.

btw owner of ax3000g here, great modulations but just decent drives and distortions. like...no chugg for "metal ds"?? haha. need quite some tweaking around. and user friendly too. but i guess nothing else beats me50 when it comes to userfriendlyness.

owner of the me50. i recommend you look around for a 2nd hand me50, don't buy it first hand as i think only swee lee stocks them and their prices are outrageous.

the me50 has probably everything you need, even pitch shifting. i also considered the ax3000g and tried it out at citymusic but chose the me50 in the end. i think the ax3000g is more economical and bang for buck. it is also harder to use than the me-50.

i chose the me-50 in the end because i really needed its pitch shifting. i recommend you to look around for a second hand me50 and if you cant find one, then get the ax3000g. both are great pedals and i'm sure they will make you happy :)

agreed. a boss me-50 is damn simple. had no learning curves to it. totally none.
i had troubles with the gt-8. take more time to learn thou...

Korg
-ax3000g
-ax5g

Line6
-Floor Pod

Zoom
-G2.1u

so which one should i get? i play Avenged Sevenfold-RHCP.please help and thanks :)

From the choices you listed above, i would say the Korg AX3000G. Again, this subject on what/which is good is very subjective. You should test drive yourself and get the one that suits your tone/playing. Cheers \m/

hmm me-50... but i only have like $280 somewhere there, and the ax3000g is only $265 at the citymusic sales. so i dont really know what to get..

hmmm where to get boss me-50? how much does sweelee sell? cause i am really considering to buy boss me-50

i think ebenex should be able to help you bring in ME50 cause they have that item on sale on their web.

and woah, so much comments about Korg AX3000G and Boss ME50.

haha , me myself am also considering between this two, but it's the bass version
so i think what i'm looking for is slightly different from what guitarist are looking out for, i'm looking for more of the modulation sections.
haha.

I've been hearing my friends say that the Vox Tonelab is good...

For the Tonelab, (got one) the preamp Tube does a good job warming up the sounds. Better as an amp sim though.. not as versatile as the others with the efx and pedals.. Plus I'm not too sure how well it handles the heavier stuff either..?

I know the POD X3 Live has the dual amp circuit thing and has an awesome patch with a Plexi + Mesa.. even my friend's Tom Anderson acoustic/electric sounded phat and ready to rock! (so maybe the floor pod?)

er can me-50 do the amp mods? like if i plug in to the pa system or speakers( not guitar amps) will it sound crappy?

^^^
i doubt so, the boss me-50 has no preamps.
just distortion, modulations and delays. unless you like distortion into a clean channel then no prob. but expect alot of tweaking. =x

Sorry for asking so many questions cause this is my first ever effects.Er, should i save up more and get a 2nd hand Pod Xt live or a Boss gt 6? cause they are like $400+ right? which is going to be better than me-50 and korg ax3000g?

i say for gt's 100 more you can get a GT8. well its like 450 if you're lucky. but i got mine at 500.
and for GTs if you wanna do the patch transferring the wire should cost about 100 at sweelee. or you could get yours second hand.
