Mtaching of Pickups

Need some advise on matching of pickups.

Mixing of alnico and ceramic magnets recommended?

Like dimarzio Tonezone in bridge and Evolution in neck.

if it suits your needs, anything/ everything will do. there's no 'çorrect' formula in this case. i enjoy the following PU combination despite its output disparity/ character difference:

*Duncan Invader + Duncan '59

*Dimarzio Tone Zone + PAF

Ceramics are used for overwound pickups so it will churn out the high end.
So if you want a hot pup without the mud ...then go for ceramics 8)

if for this combination any advice on a single coil as the middle in a H-S-H configuration ?

what would you like to hear from the single coils- high gain/ vintage?

there are several factors contributing to ill-definition (muddiness) other than inherent pickup construction. as far as Duncan is concerned, you'd get better drive definition with a medium/ low ouput models in the middle position, namely:

*Custom staggered
*Alnico II Pro
