Which has more impact on tone? SS/tube circuitry or speaker?

Both. Seriously.

I cannot give you an exact percentage as to which contributes more. But both are just as important.

The importance of speakers are oft undermined. But trust me, you'd hear the difference with a good sized, quality speaker.

Neither. I believe volume has a far greater effect on tone. And remember also that BOTH tube clipping and speaker getting pushed requires a certain amount of volume.

I'm inclined to say again though, that you simply can't compare SS to Tubes nowadays because there's such a big gap in quality control.

It depends on which element of tone you're talking about here.

Touch responsiveness? Circuitry
EQ responsiveness? Circuitry
Volume? The speaker begins to have a good part to play
Tonal Quality (how bright, how middy) Speaker has a good part to play

imo tube circuitry.. speaker tone, yes,but its a different story..
btw dont worry to much.. just buy a tube amp..and you will be fine..
and if in SG u can get sammi speakers , buy them ..

i've got 2 of them.. for now..but planning to buy more...use this speaker at jamming studio thru a homemade 11watt tube amp,, and got no problem along with the drum..

oh sorry man.. its 18watt.com. just the usual register and your in..search for sammi speakers.

its korean made. yeah its a loud speakers,great tone.. and some amp tech (moderator) at 18 watt prefer this speaker than celestion.. i mean current mass production.
my blog still under constrction. just few pic and no detail.. having fun learning to use it.. planning to build/sell ampkits or full working chasis, using hi quality parts ,probbly marshall 18 watt,or fender 5e3 replica..
to fund my other amp project.. yeah building tubes amp really put a hole thru my wallet tho..a plexi 50 output trannys will cost around 150~200 usd.. have to figure how to cover it back..

You can get Sammi speakers off Ceriatone. (But then, you can get Celestions off Ceriatone too...)

hi thor666..yeah ceriatone got everything.. and iam in kl..just 20 minutes drive at their 'factory' .. morning mail nik for parts, 5pm pickup ..same day delivary .. those amp at my blog just for experiment, not so focus on soldering quality .but working perfectly. have been to jamming session once a week.. got few prototaip already use by friends, (one of them is a full time musician) ..now im working on turret board soldering style..(for the 5e3/marshall 18watt replica) u can see turretboard on many 'boutique' amps ,ceriatone, brownnote, gabtone..etc. ill post it on blog when ready..
