Mold on the outside and inside of the guitar bag

Hi everyone,

I bought a Fender Aerodyne a year back from Japan and it came with the standard Fender bag and a free Ritter bag.

I usually kept the guitar in the Ritter's and place it on a stand.

Occasionally i notice the Ritter will start to develop white mold on it's exterior, and I'll just wipe it off with a cloth damp with some soap.

Now it's getting worse, the interior starts to have mold as well, and i also wipe it off with a cloth.

I fear it might damage the Aerodyne in the long run so just wondering if i should invest in a better bag or even a case?
Or i don't have to worry so much and wipe it off with the cloth every now and then?

My room is quite humid as the windows are shut all the time, cos' wifey is sensitive to dust.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Dan

Oww... I understand your frustration. I don't think that it will affect your Fender that much. Perhaps you could try leaving some Thirsty Hippo sachets in your Ritter bag and see if it helps. I clean my Reunion Blues bag from time to time as well.

wow! a guitar bag for $200 odd, must be very top notch?

Similar sentiments initially! I was thinking who in the right mind is going to buy this?! They're really pretty good stuff, offers more protection than several hardcases and yet is lighter and MUCH easier to carry. I went on to buy the RB and Davis sells them at $279 but it's even more comfy and is less bulky. Someone threw a RB with a guitar inside off 4 storeys and it was safe I heard. Gotta find a video on that.

opps sorry.... *mould

@peter01 the mono vertigo looks so slick! very tempting...
but still need to seriously consider before investing so much on the bag.... meantime thirsty hippo will do i guess.

Thanks all!
