Modding the Fuel Tank Jr's cumbersome cable?

I hope I'm not the only one who finds the long and heavy cable on the Fuel Tank Jr rather cumbersome.

Has anyone found a creative way to mod this?

I'm contemplating getting an IEC socket installed.

Theres a dude on tgp who just snipped of the wire and connected it to a IEC socket. then used a IEC power cable to power it. He did it on a PTmini.

I just changed my fuel tank jr's 2 round pin plug to a 3 pin.. but now that you mentioned, think I'll go shop for an IEC adapter later..

I saw the guy's pt mini on tgp too.. he drilled a hole into his pt mini so he could screw the IEC socket to it.. looks really neat..

that seems like the best place to get it.. ill try my friendly neighbourhood electronic store first heh.

for the drilling bit.. haha high risk procedure if do wrongly cannot sell my board nxt time lol.

will post updates when im done.. if im done haha.

yup. haha. tgp's back up btw. Damn. felt so lost without it for 2 days. =/

hahaha.

just do it man! I'm thinking of picking up a mini for a backup board and doing likewise. haha

First thing I did when I got mine was to open up the case and turn the cable to face the other way, which suited my pedalboard setup.

But yeah - I saw the mod on TGP (which also meant drilling and routing a Pedaltrain Jnr) to enable a kettle lead to be plugged in and it looks very well done.
