Modded Boss pedals

hey guys.. i know that there are modded boss pedals.. im aktually lookin for one but i dont know which one cause i got no knowledge about modded one's.. So i hope u guys could enlighten me on this.. lookin for a drive pedal btw, not effects.. thx!

dude, many places sell "already-modded" BOSS DS-1.
try standard value at woodlands, modded ds-1 drive is great.

mod's imo, are more of a fine tuning of an effect. bringing it closer to your tonal nirvana.

to threadstarter, theres a long list of modders to choose from. do some forum searching
randolf is one of the modders around, maybe you could email him, he has a long list of ds-1 mods. email : randolf@embryosongs.com

so yea its good to find a pedal which you already have tried and are sure you like, play around with it, tweak the knobs and all, experiment with all the settings and stuff. then talk to the modders about what mods they can do to the pedal that would make it closer to the sound you like. you could discuss with them like what you want, more mids of less bass or more transparency etc etc. aside from that.......would be good to also try the different mods of that pedal and similar pedals and see whats more to your liking.
