Mobile practice...

Hey guys...

I'm sure most of you guys especially those on the move most of the time would lug their guitar around and practice/play during breaks. I'm one such person and I'm looking for a nice mobile setup for my guitar. I bring around my laptop most of the time and I usually use softwares like GuitarPro and Band-in-a-Box to help me jam along. Any SOFTies here can recommend a good mobile practice setup? Some suggestions from friends ...

1) Vox Amplug and plug into laptop (tried this and it sucks!)
2) Pocket POD
3) Line6 TonePort
4) KORG Pandora

What are your thoughts on this? Better if it comes with foot controller! Thanks in advance!

just use a boss MFX and headphones... like an me-50... its small enuf to lug around and the tones are superior... plus u can gig with it... =)

Thanks for the responses so far. Actually had exactly the same idea as Subversion with that little speaker. Found it for about S$33.90 at Challenger and wanted to use it but don't know how it's gonna sound when you have a pod and guitar plugged into it.

Does the pocket pod comes with any compatible foot switch? (Sheesh I miss my early Zoom 9002 with mini foot switch!)

I also looked at these options

1) Amplitude 2
2) Guitar Rig 3

but they're rather costly...
