Midnight Shift returns to the house of kyō with its third label showcase outing, featuring Detroit veteran and label artist Terrence Parker joined by kyō residents, Brendon P and Shigeki, as well as electrocaïne’s Avneesh on the decks.
Ahead of Terrence Parker’s release of ‘It Hurts’ on the Midnight Shift label, the DJ and Producer will be in town to rock the dancefloor with his inimitable blend of house, gospel, techno, soul and everything in between. Known as “The International DJ Extraordinaire”, Terrence Parker (“TP”) has been actively performing from Berlin to Beirut, with his telephone headphones, scratch skills and positive energy winning fans the world over whether through his productions or performance.
Opening for TP will be Singapore scene stalwarts Brendon P and Shigeki. Recently paired up for Friday nights at kyō, they have quickly become the scene’s latest dynamic duo, showcasing their combined depth of knowledge and expertise in all the elements of house music. From deep tribal rhythms to disco and groovy tech, experience the glory of the genre under their deft hands.
Usually the man behind the visuals, Avneesh emerges from behind the screen to behind the decks, proving his equal prowess as a DJ. His eclectic taste with some of the island’s deepest crates, innate flow and rhythm make this one set you do not want to miss.
VJ Burrows will be providing visual accompaniment to the night’s music proceedings – give the man a drink.
