Midnight Shift launched its record label arm in Nov 2012 to great support from the likes of Sascha, Josh Wink, Dixon, Shackleton, Vince Watson, Âme and Ian Pooley as well as positive reviews from international press Resident Advisor, XLR8R Ibiza Voice, DE:BUG, Mixmag and DJ Times.
Featuring the emerging alongside established artists such as
Singaporean Eddie Niguel, Basic Soul Unit, Ultrademon and Iron Curtis, the label will see a further slew of other names released on its label this year, including remixes by Deetron and Secret Cinema and exciting new material from Recondite, Julien H Mulder, Simon Hinter and Terrence Parker.
The first of label showcases to be held both in Singapore and abroad, this Saturday 13 April at Velvet Underground-Dance, Zouk will see label artists Eddie Niguel and Deetron anchor the night on both ends, bringing the sound of Midnight Shift to the live dynamics of the dance floor. Zouk’s very own Adrian Wee takes the 1-2am spot, while Kaye from fellow label Darker Than Wax will perform a rare Live set before him using both original and exclusive material for Midnight Shift.
Avneesh from electrocaine and Lucas Burrows man the visual decks for the night, while Kevin Lester will be MCing the proceedings for a showcase that will encapsulate the Midnight Shift label ethos sonically, visually and experientially.
