midi keyboard?

can anyone point me in the right direction please?
i am looking for a midi keyboard to use with Reason.

I have found an Axiom 25 and a 49 (by M audio)
reviews were not great for these 2 products though.

any better keyboard/brand on the market please??

The really good ones are from Novation, from my research...but they cost alot more than the usual midi controller...think its because of their auto mapping technology.

the axiom series is a highly recommended series of midi keyboards available.
i own the 49 and its a great keyboard! definitely worth buying cos its got semi weighted keys, pads, knobs and sliders! assigning them is easy. u won't consider buying anything else after u get urself the axiom 49.

what's the use of semi-weighted keys at a small range of 49-61 keys ?

semi-weighted keys are meant for playing piano style at 76-88 range.

I wondered why M-audio produced the weighted keys for the 25-61 axiom ???

Not exactly true... There's better velocity response for semi-weighted keys. The Axiom line is very good in my opinion. I don't understand why reviews of it are mostly not so good.
